Concours d'Elegance

Oct 3 2009 - 8:00am - Oct 4 2009 - 4:00pm

Saturday, October 3rd and Sunday, October 4th, 2009

A Concours d'Elegance is a competition for collectors of fine automobiles.  A concours car is a well preserved or accurately restored vehicle, usually with historic value.  They are pristine in appearance and rarely seen outside museums or private collections.  Many are worth millions of dollars and referred to by collectors as "Rolling Works of Art."

Imagine some of the rarest cars in the country on display with Churchill's famous Twin Spires as the backdrop.  This is the essence of the Louisville Concours d'Elegance, a celebration of Horses and Horsepower.

Overview of Events Open to the Public

October 3rd - Concours Eve Gala (reception in the Paddock; dinner in Millionaire's Row)

October 4th - Concours show in the Infield, with concours cars and others on display, Fashion Show on the concours stage, vendor booths in the Shoppes d'Elegance, Automotive Artists Village, food & beverages

Our Chosen Charity

The Louisville Concours d'Elegance is being produced by volunteers in support of Brooklawn Child & Family Services.  Brooklawn is a non-profit residential treatment facility for children who suffer from the psychological effects of severe abuse, neglect and other trauma.  This event will raise awareness and funds to help these children find the hope and healing they need and deserve.
