Paddock Concert Series
Nationally known artists are featured every Friday, May 11 - May 25 in the intimate setting of the historic Churchill Downs Paddock. On Friday, May 18 Citizen Cope will be featured. An expert at blending musical genres, Citizen Cope, tells stories with music while incorporating hip-hop beats, quiet piano melodies, blues and a hint of pop.
Admission gates will open at 1:30 p.m. and the first race will be 2:45 p.m. ET. Happy Hour drink specials include $3 Stella Draft Beer from 4 - 7 p.m. in the paddock area.
The featured performance is expected around 8:15 p.m. and each postrace concert will last approximately 90 minutes. The first 850 people in attendance for the concert will be allowed access into the saddling paddock to watch the concert up close in a VIP Watch Area free of charge.
The final Paddock Concert Series will be next Friday, May 25 with The Black Lillies.
Commemorative Kentucky Derby Winner Print presented by GE
The first 5,000 fans through the gate will receive a voucher for a commemorative Derby Winner print presented by GE, which displays Kentucky Derby 138 victor, I'll Have Another; along with several other historical Kentucky Derby icons (get a sneak peek of the poster below).
Cheer on Derby winner, I'll Have Another, in the Preakness Stakes, the second leg of the Triple Crown! There has not been a Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978, and a win in the Preakness would make the Kentucky Derby 138 victor one step closer to making history!
