We’re aiming to take the mystery out of handicapping two-year-old horses and, hopefully, help you pick next year’s Oaks and Derby winners!
9:00 a.m. – Arriving through Gate 1, go to the Paddock Pavilion for registration and a delicious breakfast including eggs, sausage, Danish, juice and coffee.
9:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. – Take your coffee or OJ with you to the Paddock and join Churchill’s On-Air Communications Director, Jill Byrne, for an up-close inspection of an actual race horse. Learn how to handicap based on what you see in the paddock, i.e. behavior, conformation of the horse, equipment...
10:00 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. – We’ll head back to the Paddock Pavilion where our panelists will discuss their handicapping strategy for Stars of Tomorrow I Stakes races, plus, handicapping picks from the rest of the day’s card and a Q & A session. Panelists include:
- On-Air Communications Director, Jill Byrne
- Leading trainer of two-year-old horses, Ian Wilkes
- Jockey, Jon Court
- Clocker, John Nichols
11:15 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – TwinSpires.com display and presentation for TwinSpires TV.
Door prizes include a VIP-Day-at-the-Track for you and a guest AND an opportunity to watch a race called by track announcer, Mark Johnson.
Free parking in the Preferred Lot, outside of Gate 1 (near the museum), will be provided. Plus, all seminar participants will receive seats to our exclusive Skye Terrace to enjoy the days’ races (lunch not included).
