GROUP SALES - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Do I need tickets to get in?
A: Yes, all guests ages 5 and over will need a ticket for entry into a group venue.

Q: When will I receive my tickets?
A: Tickets may be mailed, left at will call, or picked up at Churchill Downs prior to your event. You should make arrangements with your Event Manager and choose a method most convenient for you in order to receive your tickets. Ticket arrangements are taken care of at the time of the guarantee guest reservation count and once payment is received in full, which is thirty (30) days prior to your event.

Q: Where is will call?
A: Will Call is located at the admission entrance Gate 10, located off the Longfield (complimentary) parking lot. Will call tickets may be left under the group name or individual names.

Q: Do I get a program with my ticket?
A: Yes. A daily racing program is included with each ticket as well as your admission to the track.

Q: Does Churchill Downs offer free parking?
A;: Yes, Complimentary parking is available in the Longfield parking lot, accessible through Longfield Avenue, also referred to as Gate 10. Also, buses should utilize the Gate 12 entrance, accessible through Longfield Avenue as well, and will have designated parking outside of the Gate 10 admission entrance. Please

Q: What is the difference between preferred parking and valet parking?
A: Preferred parking is a self parking lot, located outside of admission Gate 1 and admission Gate 17, both accessible through Ninth Street. Gate 17 preferred parkings costs $3.00 and Gate 1 preferred parking costs $5.00. Valet parking is available at the Longfield/Gate 10 lot.

Q: What time may I arrive in the venue where I have reserved a table(s)?
A: Guests will not be allowed into the room or on the premises until the designated gate opening times.

Q: How long do the races run?
A: During most weeks, Churchill Downs will run nine (9) races on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and ten (10) races on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Exceptions include Derby Week, Memorial Day weekend, and July 4th weekend. We will also simulcast both the Preakness and Belmont after live racing concludes on each date. There is typically one half hour interval between each race.

Q: When is my final payment due, and how will I know my final balance?
A: Final payment is due thirty (30) days prior to the date of the event. An invoice reminding final payments made by check, will be mailed one month and one week prior to the event date. Final payments made by credit card are automatically charged to the credit card number kept on file, thirty (30) days prior to the event date. Ticket arrangements will not be made until final payment is received.

Q: What is service charge?
A: A 19% service charge is added to all event packages. This cost covers the cost of labor for all who have serviced your event. Any additional gratuity you may wish to give to your server(s) is completely optional. If any server suggests otherwise, please inform your Event Manager or Floor Captain.
