Race 1 – Chyhyryn (8) goes off the claim for top connections and looks to improve at the distance. Minestone (7) drops in class and takes the turf to dirt angle. Proponet (1) can move forward off his first start.
JILL’S SELECTIONS – 8-7-1
Race 2 – Pacificator (2) steps up in good form and has a solid local record. Romans Reward (3) showed some life last out at this level and can be a factor if he can transfer that race to the main track here.
JILL’S SELECTIONS – 2-3-5
Race 3 – Tycoon (9) has raced well in all his tries and can handle the surface switch here. Big Town (1) improved in each of his turf efforts and should get a good trip from the rail here.
JILL’S SELECTIONS – 9-1-7
Race 4 – Preach Easy (5) comes back at the same level of her recent win and is bred to handle the added ground. Sharp N Pretty (4) drops a level off a even effort versus better.
JILL’S SELECTIONS – 5-4-3
Race 5 – Equestrio (1) could not make up ground over a track he may not have cared for last out. He has worked well since and seems to get a good setup here. Modern Cowboy (2) likes the distance and has run well against better locally.
JILL’S SELECTIONS – 1-2-6
Race 6 – Brave Fleet (11) did not handle the Polytrack last out and can be a factor here if she can replicate her first start. Miss Chloe H. (10) is a debut runner from a sharp barn with a decent series of works for this.
JILL’S SELECTIONS – 11-10-5
Race 7 – Miz Ida (6) was a game winner of her turf debut and can take another step forward against winners today. Holiday Broad (2) improved dramatically when trying the grass last out and will show good speed on the stretch out in distance today. Woodford Lady (9) had a rough trip in her recent local turf try and fits well here.
JILL’S SELECTIONS – 6-2-9
Race 8 – Tiempo Libre (7) showed nothing in his debut on the Polytrack. He drops in class today and has worked well locally. Hunterwood Point (11) is a first time runner with some good workouts for today. Wildcat Country (3) faltered badly when stepping up last time and now drops to a level he can rebound at.
JILL’S SELECTIONS – 7-11-3
Race 9 – Sterling Madame (6) was very impressive in victory and can handle the step to allowance conditions here. Charlie Girl (9) was in good form before going to the sidelines and has been sharp in morning workouts for her return today. Line It Up (2) has never put in a poor performance and looks set to go off the layoff.
JILL’S SELECTIONS – 6-9-2
Race 10 – Gutsy Call (6) has been sharp in both his wins and has the pedigree to continue that win streak as he tries the turf here.
JILL’S SELECTIONS – 6-8-2
Race 11 – Hot Roots (7) has a good pedigree and steady workouts for her debut for a sharp barn. Ice Cream Silence (10) ran well in her debut after a poor start and will be a strong factor today. Ocean Bertie (5) has been consistent in both starts and will be no surprise to get a top finish here. Satyana (11) will improve off her first try and shows a good work since that race. Sueno D’Oro (2) can also take a step forward with the experience of her debut run.
JILL’S SELECTIONS – 7-10-5-11-2
Value Plays -- by Merv Huber
Race 5 – Anak Nakal (7) was beaten just over six lengths by Wise Dan in his most recent effort; that winner came back to easily emerge victorious in the Clark Handicap (GI) here on Saturday. Anak Nakal returns to the track that saw him capture his only graded stakes victory and figures to improve in his second start off the layoff.
Morning Line Odds: 6-1
Race 6 – Four Point (7) makes her debut for good connections and sports a nice pedigree. She is out of Tutorial, a graded stakes winner as a two-year-old, and a half-sister to Dixie Band, who won at first asking and was also a graded stakes winning juvenile. She has been working well in advance of her debut.
Morning Line Odds: 12-1
