Jill Byrne's Handicapping
Floral Sky (2) debuts with decent workouts for a top juvenile stable. Krazy For Kaya (3) is another debut runner for the hot Ward stable and has been working very well for today. Miz Wounded Knee (6) broke slowly in her first start and can improve with that experience.
Manly (6) just failed to last in his first try on dirt and may get easier fractions today at the longer distance. Scat Thief (3) may not have cared for the Polytrack last out but ran well on the main track against stronger fields. Bulldog Legend (2) made up ground last out and can improve with the added ground.
Silent Pipe (5) has been in good form versus better company and fits well with these. Whatthecatdrugin (3) returns to the main track after a decent effort against a tough turf field at this level. Pedrolino (1) has some solid race figures and can find himself in a good stalking spot here.
Gentle Tap (2) raced evenly at this level last out and gets a better pace set up today. Good Chemistry (5) drops in class today and ran well in his only local effort. Ellio (6) was not far behind the top pick last out and will be closing late.
Hilarium (7) ran well in both turf sprints and has the speed to be sharp from the start. Grand Avenue (5) is a debut runner for a stable in good form and shows some solid works for his first try. Grand Idol (4) ran well in all three efforts and has a turf pedigree.
Guile (6) has found a good level now and looks like she can lead this field all the way here. Savannah’s Glory (9) takes blinkers off and drops in class, giving her a good shot with these.
Puddy Tap (4) was a winner in her only local try and has a solid record for top connections. Doilookfatnthese (2) is on a win roll versus slightly lesser company and can handle the allowance company here. Starformer (7) tries the dirt for the first time and will be a factor if she handles the surface switch.
Heart of Destiny (7) gets a slight edge in this well matched field off her two excellent turf efforts. M’Dearest (9) may get a better pace scenario for her closing style today. Cozze Up Lady (5) has a turf pedigree and looks to be improving with each start.
Lay Up (5) goes first off the claim for top connections and has been solid at this condition. Virginia Ann (2) is in good form and has the speed to be a danger from the start. Storm Cloud Coming (12) has been close at this condition and should be in a stalking position throughout. Janice Sue (3) and Tothyownself (4) round out the top five off their last two efforts.
