Jill Byrne's Handicapping
Deed It Is (2) looks like the best in this field off his last effort. Smokin Star (4) ran evenly last out. Five Afleet (5) can improve on the drop.
Summer Kitten (6) can win with a repeat of her last race. Ava’s Playful Run (4) has the speed to be a factor here. Sikura’s Gift (5) should like the added ground.
Extra Quick (3) can make it two in a row off her last performance. Pawn Shop Queen (1) takes blinkers off and ran well here before. Class of Fifty Two (5) raced well against a stronger group last out.
Z Camelot (3) will like the added ground and return to grass. Awesome Life (2) made up ground and has some good turf tries. At The Pulpit (4) needs a better pace setup today.
Regal Nurse (2) can make it nine wins in a row today. Bressie (1) ran evenly at this level last out and looks like the biggest threat. Katy Lied (4) shows a good effort at Mountaineer and fits well for part of this.
Never Tell Lynda (9) goes for a sharp barn on the drop today. Parade of Homes (4) has had many chances at this level but usually runs well. Zaharias (7) is consistent for a high percentage barn.
Edwards Moon (7) has worked well locally and may improve with the surface switch and class drop. Queen’s Escort (3) can also improve off his debut and the drop. Flashaholic (2) overcame some trouble to gain the runner up spot last out.
Twinspired (4) adds blinkers which should help him focus better down the stretch. Gutsy Call (9) will move forward on the turf and with a race under his belt. Ready to Taunt (5) adds blinkers which may keep him keep closer to the pace.
Rogue Romance (6) stopped sharply in the Ben Ali (GIII) but can make amends on his best dirt tries today. Stay Put (3) was rated off slow fractions and may get a better pace set up here. Awesome Bet (2) returns to the races and has the back class to be a danger if ready.
Embracing Hearts (1) should like the turn back in distance today. Queen Tueta (11) is a danger just off the pace if she can overcome a wide trip. Barbados Beauty (2) is quick and can be close from the inside. Sid’s Kid (8) and Irish Exchange (9) round out the top five.
