Jill Byrne's Handicapping
Roman’s Avenue (2) has worked well for his debut and looks set to go if he can get away from the gate sharply. Western Sadler (4) makes his first try for a stable very proficient with debut juveniles. Lignite (3) has the experience edge and will be flying from the start.
Buffalo River Gal (5) was an easy winner last out and is undefeated locally. Fitz’n to Go (1) steps up off a big victory and looks good in here. Hip (4) drops in class but has some good form on Polytrack.
Maybelle Slew (1) is in good form and is popular at the claim box. Brezing Rain (2) drops in class off a series of good efforts and looks like the biggest threat. Learn The Lingo (3) is one of the only closers in this race loaded with pace.
Stand (6) drops another class level off a good effort last out and gets the slight edge today. Deed It Is (5) goes for top connections and has a fondness for the local surface. Seguro (2) returns to the main track and a weaker field and usually lands a share of the top three.
End (2) is a debut runner with good workouts and a pedigree to be ready to go first out. Galaxy Maker (3) ran his best race on the dirt and goes back to that surface here. The Freak (8) stopped abruptly in his first try for a claiming price and can do better than that.
Dads Shooting Star (6) just ran second at this level and looks best here. Why Izzy Why (5) finished not far off the top pick last out. Storm Delay (3) debuts with a couple of decent workouts and a pedigree that suggests she has some speed.
Mckayla’s Wish (8) has been consistent in her last five starts and looks capable of a repeat here. Hometown Legend (1) draws the rail again after a rough trip from that post last out and is a factor with some racing luck. Sunday Missile (7) stopped sharply at this level last out but shortens up in distance today.
Gold ‘N White (4) stopped in her first start off a layoff but may last longer on this course with that race under her belt. O’Shannon (10) ran well at long odds in her first try on grass and will be flying early. Soot Z (5) sprints for the first time on the grass and has a strong pedigree.
Thermal Cat (3) has run well in both tries and looks sharp for today. Professor Fate (2) is undefeated on the main track and exits a tough race on Polytrack last out. Into The Fray (5) is consistent and goes for top connections here.
Southern Parkway (7) did not get to run last out and is the choice off his prior turf starts. Dunraven Pass (11) has never run a bad race and should improve on the turf today. Enduring Star (4) ran deceptively well on the grass last out and goes for a hot barn. N.B.A. Money (6) and Big Town (1) look to be part of the top five.
