Jill Byrne's Handicapping
Ferdinanndie (6) drops in class and distance and has the speed to be dangerous on the lead. Desi Girl (7) is a debut runner from a sharp stable and a solid series of works. Troika (3) has had many chances but always runs well enough to be considered.
Technique (4) is another of the Amoss stable class droppers today who looks to get the ideal pace set up here. Itsnottheright (2) has never run a poor effort and exits a hard fought win in a key race. Maximus Ruler (6) takes a sharp drop today and will be running late.
Audton (1) and Wish Keeper (9) have a similar profile for the Carroll stable and complimentary running styles.
Force De La Nature (3) exits a big win over a next out winner and should get another perfect set up here. Always Here Too (2) returns to the dirt and was not disgraced behind multiple graded winner Contested. Grand Illumination (1) has shown performances that fit well with these.
Rio Strikes Gold (2) was overmatched in his first try versus winners and drops to a level where he should be competitive. Purely Determined (4) returns to the races as a gelding, takes blinkers off and drops in class. All these factors should put him at a top effort. Mainstay (6) drops a level and gets added distance here.
Five Star David (8) steps up in good form and has the speed to be a factor from the start. Evacuation Route (5) has the back class and will be rolling late if he can get the perfect trip. Shore Do (2) has been of form but is eligible to throw one of his better efforts today.
John Gordon (9) exits good runner up finishes in two very strong races and looks set to score today. Malibu Double (1) raced evenly in his first try and has worked well since.
Explain (6) exits a decent effort in a tough turf race and is more effective on the dirt at this level. Distort This (4) had a rough trip from the rail post last out and is better than that race suggests. Wild Louis (5) takes blinkers off today and may settle better on the front end.
Time for Dubai (3) has never run a bad race and is well placed for the win today. Poor Boy’s Passion (6) has been consistent versus these types and fits well here off her last two tries. Sarah’s Kitten (2) has been stuck at this condition for a while but usually lands a share.
Volcat (3) raced evenly in her turf debut and should like the added distance. All For Georgia (1) returns from a layoff for a top barn and has shown good turf form. Forest Legend (7) has steadily improved this year.
Irving Rules (9) comes back off the shelf for a sharp stable and has the speed to be dangerous here. Spikey Italiano (10) drops in class and returns to the dirt where he runs his better races. Ok Nothanksforaskn (4) ran well against a strong starter field last out and has been competitive against better fields locally. Lumpy’s Ace (11) and Variant (8) complete the top five.
