Jill Byrne's Handicapping
Race 1 – De Enforcer (5) goes for a new stable and looked like he took a step forward last out making him a factor with these. Dueling Oaks (1) finished in front of the top pick last out and figures close from the inside post. Unbridled Logic (10) stretches out in distance today off a decent effort.
Race 2 – Another Trick (6) found her only win here and has the speed to be dangerous at this level. Leaha’s Princess (3) has been facing older company in her last two and fits well here over a surface she has done well on. Ribbon Taffy (5) takes blinkers off and drops in class today.
Race 3 – K to the Croft (3) ran evenly in her first try at two turns and can move forward off that effort. Cebu (12) improved last out and is bred to handle the added ground. Capriani (11) ran well last out and has proven form on the main track. Prettiereverydave (5) and Tactical Trail (1) look strong in the Super Hi 5.
Race 4 – Magic Hour (3) comes in off consecutive big wins and has the pedigree to handle the step up in distance here. Oh Carole (2) has finished evenly in one turn races and may be closer to the pace with the added ground today. Wait Til Dawn (1) returns from a layoff and showed solid form in the spring in Graded stakes.
Race 5- Justheguytodoit (5) has been facing better company and seems suited well to the distance here. Chow Wagon (8) can be a factor here on his better efforts. Dabossman (1) seems to do his best running locally and catches a weak group today.
Race 6 – Squall King (8) improved last out and should relish the turf course in a field without much to go by. Louie Villain (3) should like the added distance and the surface switch and has trained well since his debut. Dominate (6) exits a key race and may be able to carry his speed further here.
Race 7- Minotaur (10) showed some pace in his debut and can improve off that effort and with the switch to dirt. Soaring Silver (6) has been idle but has trained well and showed ability in his two starts. Sistern Bay (9) faded in his debut but came back to work very well since and can move forward today.
Race 8 – Sunshineandsilence (4) is a class dropper with form at the distance on the main track. Holiday Broad (2) ran her best race locally and should be a factor in a well matched group. Trans Continental (3) is the most consistent of this field and will be forwardly placed.
Race 9 – Loud Pipes (5) chased an impressive winner last out and shows some good turf form. Make A Fortune (1) has a good local record but tends to break slow and will have to overcome that and an inside draw. Matar (4) chased the aforementioned selection and can be a factor today.
Race 10 – Savage Vow (9) drops sharply and has shown decent local form, giving him the edge today. Wound Up (12) put two decent efforts together and can handle the step up to winners here. Le Chevalier (4) has been facing better company and fits well with these. Lola’stheatrical (2) and Nickelwood (1) fill out the Super Hi 5.
