Jill Byrne's Handicapping
Race 1 – Do The Charleston (8) drops in class and has been training well for today. Touch of Revenge (7) takes blinkers back off today in her first start for a new stable and looks good in here. Gibes (3) steps up off an easy win and should be part of the pace.
Race 2 – Do I Do (5) just missed at this level last out and looks good right back today. Royal Tak (2) disappointed in his last start but fits well again here. Pickemuptruck (8) stepped up to winners and ran well enough to be a factor here.
Race 3 – Platinum Futures (8) drops in class and returns to the course where she has a win. I Got Rhythm (6) was an easy winner against a softer field but can be competitive with these off that race. Buffalo River Gal (12) is undefeated at Churchill and looks to get back on form today.
Race 4 – Confession (7) has run well in all her starts and gets the slight edge in this well matched field. Putthebabiesdown (8) has been off form recently but may prefer the return to dirt today. Even Forest (1) has a good local record and usually runs a solid race from off the pace.
Race 5- Good Prospect (5) has a strong turf record and will get a positive pace set up here. Quick Delivery (10) fits nicely in this turf starter race and has done some of her best running on this course. Screenplay (2) is another who has a fondness for the Matt Win turf and has the pace to be close from the start.
Race 6 – Utmost Intensity (13) looks to be training well for his debut and will be tough if he draws in to the race. Bemata (8) ran evenly in his debut for a hot stable and can improve today. D Y N For A Star (2) exits a strong race and should move forward off that effort.
Race 7- Gamay (7) has worked well locally and looks set for a top performance here. Original Art (8) faltered badly as the favorite last out. He goes for a new stable today and will be tough off his former races. Seeker (1) drops in to a claiming race for the first time and has the back class to be a danger with good speed from the rail.
Race 8 – Moonrite (12) exits a key race and encountered trouble from the rail post in that debut. Cheyenne Autumn (10) raced forwardly in her first start before fading. She may improve off that. Catbird Seat (3) showed determination in her debut and can also move forward off that.
Race 9 – Strike Impact (3) returns to his favorite turf course and has the pace to be in a perfect spot from the start. Keep Up (1) has good form and moved forward in his first turf start. He has a stalking style that should suit this course well. Nobles Promise (2) is a millionaire and looks to be rounding back to his best form but may be better suited to one turn races.
Race 10 – Tough Nuggies (3) has speed and has been getting close in several tries which gives her the edge in this group. Street Dreams (1) drops in class and has to be considered off some of her prior races. Stormylittlerosey (12) has good speed and can hang on for part of this. Red Banks Reality (4) and Special Gift (7) can land a share of the Super Hi 5.
