Jill Byrne's Handicapping
Race 1 – Pretty Heiress (5) is in excellent form and has a good running style. Promise Me Joy (3) was claimed off an even effort and may improve off that. Flashy Rae (2) is undefeated at Churchill and also goes for a new barn.
Race 2 – Gamekeeper (2) puts blinkers on of a rough trip last out as the favorite. Call Me George (1) steps up in good form for a sharp stable.
Race 3 – Big Blue Talent (1) and Talk Show Talent (1a) look like a formidable entry for a top juvenile barn. Rope (2) ran well versus lesser but can improve in his second start. Alsono (4) has to be considered with the experience edge.
Hamiltonian (5) is better suited to the main track and has good outside speed. Gentlemen’s Bet (4) is sharp and has worked well for this and gets a better post. Triumph and Song (3) is on a win roll and adds to the depth of this well matched field.
Race 5- Lunar Fleet (3) has a good local record and faces a softer group today. Ricky Tick (5) steps up to open company off a solid win last out. Ghostwalking (2) drops in class and can be a factor on his better efforts.
Race 6 – Funny Proposition (6) is undefeated locally and has been working impressively for her return. Young and Lovely (3) has run well on this surface and should like the turn back to a one turn mile. Awesome Flower (2) steps up in class for a sharp barn and is in good form.
Race 7 – Jump For Kitten (1) and High Dollar Kitten (1a) look strong in this evenly matched turf event. Get In Line (2) has good speed and proven turf form. Summit County (4) has faced better company and figures prominently here.
Race 8 – Barksdale (4) has been in good form and should get a perfect stalking trip. Little Frilly (7) is perfectly spotted off the maiden win and claim. Little Face (5) drops in class and should be finishing well down the lane.
Race 9- Twining Hearts (10) takes a class drop for a barn that’s in good form. Auston Got Even (5) looks to get a good race setup today and appears the biggest threat. Royal Congrats (1) can improve in a second try off the layoff and the move to claiming company.
Race 10 – Sweet And Lowdown (4) is proven on the turf and can rebound with a better start today. A Time To Love (5) is a winner on the Churchill turf and gets plenty of speed to set up her closing kick. Lady Stonewall (2) tries turf for the first time and may improve.
RACE 11- Greek Bird (3) takes another class drop, turns back to a sprint, and shows a good workout for this. Grand Dame (10) adds blinkers for her return and faces claiming company today. Watercolors (2) is another stepping down the class ladder and figures prominently here. Summon The Rain (9) and Buzzin At Midnight(1) complete the top 5.
