Jill Byrne's Handicapping

  • Race 1 7-3-4

Eight Riders (7) has run two of his best races at Churchill and the return may get him back on form. Cold Feet (3) has been freshened for this spot and is a strong contender. High Stakes (4) is better than his last two efforts suggest. JILL’S SELECTIONS – 7-3-4

  • Race 2 6-3-2

Jardenia (6) has a good local record and gets a positive pace set up here. Alberta’s Book (3) will be closing late but was no match for the top choice when they met. Dowooper (2) drops in class and has won here at big odds not too long ago. JILL’S SELECTIONS – 6-3-2

  • Race 3 6-2-1

Red Maserati (6) is well placed to add to his win record for top connections. Tend (1) drops sharply in class but may be compromised by the inside post. JILL’S SELECTIONS – 6-2-1

  • Race 4 1-6-5

Channeling (1) has the best local record, drops in class and returns to the main track where she has done her best running. Silent Pipe (6) looks to be controlling speed in here making him dangerous on the lead. Another Gear (5) is inconsistent but on his best efforts he fits with these. JILL’S SELECTIONS – 1-6-5

  • Race 5 8-7-4

Giddy Up Gator (8) showed speed versus better in her debut and can improve off that race. Prized Star (10) tries the main track and added ground today which may enable her to stay closer to the pace. Heart To Me (7) drops in class and has been competitive in a couple of tries. JILL’S SELECTIONS – 8-7-4

  • Race 6 2-8-1

Thingamajigger (2) faltered when chasing fast fractions last out and looks well placed here. Canadian Boss (8) has good speed and did his best running over this surface in the spring. Revelation Song (1) takes blinkers off which may enable him to relax early on in the race. JILL’S SELECTIONS – 2-8-1

  • Race 7 4-8-9

Galloping Domino (4) is in good form and won a similar conditioned race here in May. Shelly’s Hope (8) has been idle for over 2 years and now returns at the bottom level. If she is close to her prior form she towers over this group. Another Trick (9) may not have handled the turf last out and is another that prefers running under the Twin Spires. JILL’S SELECTIONS -4-8-9

  • Race 8 2-4-1

Provocateur (2) can improve off her debut run with the experience and the switch to the main track and added distance. Owl Moon (4) has two even efforts to her credit and may move forward here. JILL’S SELECTIONS -2-4-1

  • Race 9 2-3-8

Prado Cat (2) showed a return to his better form recently and gets the edge in a well matched field. Irish Sea (3) had a wide trip and was further back than he should have been last out. That was his first start off a long break and he looks most likely to improve today. Wings Of Fortune (8) has good turf form and should get a good stalking trip. JILL’S SELECTIONS- 2-3-8

  • Race 10 6-1-2-7-4

Kerisma (6) drops in class and returns to the main track where she has done her best running. Barksdale (2) shows a couple decent local tries. Bye Bye Bunting (7) JILL’S SELECTIONS – 6-2-7-8-9
