Jill Byrne's Handicapping

  • Race 1 7-8-1

Gold Megillah (7) drops sharply in class and is undefeated on the local course. Barrio Baby (8) is in good form and looks to get a perfect trip. Touched The Clouds (1) adds blinkers and returns to the conditioned claiming ranks

  • Race 2 7-6-9

Tycoon (7) just won at this level and has a solid local record. Debit Card (6) moves up off the claim and has run well versus better fields. Adulare (9) may not have cared for the synthetic surface last out. JILL’S SELECTIONS – 7-6-9

  • Race 3 4-2-5

Gallant Pleasure (4) is consistent at this level and should get a good stalking spot. Fizzano (2) has been facing stronger company and is the one to beat for top connections. Ellio (5) was in good form here last fall but may need more distance for his best. JILL’S SELECTIONS – 4-2-5

  • Race 4 8-7-3

    off turf

  • Race 5 5-12-9

Olivia B (5) showed speed before faltering in her debut versus better company. She can move forward off that try. Tarpy’s Wish (12) is a stablemate of the top pick and is capable of better after a rough trip last out. Suavity (9) shows a couple decent efforts at this level and fits with these. JILL’S SELECTIONS – 5-12-9

  • Race 6 1/1a-9-8

Awesome Sky (1) and Thundergram (1a) make a formidable entry and have been working well locally for this. Chas’s Legacy (9) raced evenly at these conditions last out and can move forward off that try. Long Station (8) just missed against similar and will be a strong factor again. JILL’S SELECTIONS – 1/1a-9-8

  • Race 7 1/1a-4-5

Trend Setter (1) and School Spirit (1a) have both shown some solid form against decent fields and are well placed today. Parktown (4) returns to the local dirt surface where he ran his best races. John Gordon (5) gets a better post today and will be running late down the stretch. JILL’S SELECTIONS -1/1a-4-5

  • Race 8 4-9-5

    off turf

  • Race 9 6-10-9

Bradester (6) is consistent and has faced very strong company. He makes his third start off a layoff and gets the slight edge in a well matched group. A.P. Indian (10) returned to the races with a hard fought victory and has worked well since that effort. He can move forward off that race and looks to have a solid future. JILL’S SELECTIONS- 6-10-9

  • Race 10 8-2-4-9-12

Don’t Slip (8) looks tough to deny on the class drop today. Some Way Some How (2) makes his second try off a layoff and is well placed here. Goingoingone (9) faltered last out but is capable of better and can rebound here. Chief Gaga (4) and Gator Camp (12) complete the Super Hi 5. JILL’S SELECTIONS –8-2-9-4-12
