What: The hearse transporting the late John Asher to Churchill Downs for Tuesday’s visitation will arrive at Churchill Downs at approximately 9 a.m. It will arrive at the Stable Gate, then proceed to the main track where it will be escorted by Churchill Downs’ outriders to make a 1 ¼-mile trip around the historic oval. In the stretch and nearing the finish line, Churchill Downs’ bugler Steve Buttleman will perform a version of “My Old Kentucky Home.”
When: Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 8:30 a.m. EDT
Where: Churchill Downs Racetrack, 700 Central Ave., Louisville, Ky. 40208. Please meet in the Executive Gate (former Gate 1) lobby. We will escort media to the Stakes Room balcony on the fourth floor of the Clubhouse to facilitate coverage.
