Race 1 – Another Trick (2) just missed last out in an open 5k race and fits in well with this field. Maybelle Slew (5) had a dominate win last out at this level and with a repeat performance of that race will be tough to beat. Small Kiss (4) is in good form and fits at this level.

Race 2 – Merveilleuse (5) drops from allowance company last out into an easier spot. She should do better at this level of competition. Katy Lied (3) comes from a productive race in the Spring Meet and should do better switching to the main track. With Excellence (6) has run her best races over the Churchill Downs surface.

Race 3 – Moon Traveler (3) switches back to the main track and drops in class. Another positive is he has run his best races here at Churchill Downs. Barry Shortpants (4) comes out of a nice win last out against allowance competition and fits well with this field. Z Lucky (7) won a productive race last out at Saratoga.

Race 4 – Late Night Artist (8) comes from two nice races at Saratoga and ran better than her past performance lines show. Angle (9) is beautifully bred and just missed last out in a race at Kentucky Downs. Candy Crush (3) always tries but has gotten a bit unlucky trying to find the winner’s circle. The stretch out could help this daughter of Candy Ride.

Race 5 – Almost English (4) comes in for the red hot combination of Chris Richard and Maggie Moss. This horse comes off of back to back victories and fits in well with this competition. Wagson (1) drops in class from two decent races at Saratoga. Platitude (2) drops sharply in class and looks to bring his form cycle back from a few months ago.

Race 6 – Giulietta (10) cuts back in distance and fits in well with this field. Miss Delstar (6) just missed last out at this level after cutting back in distance from her previous few starts. Little Stevie Girl (9) switches back to the dirt from a turf effort at Kentucky Downs and can improve off of that effort

Race 7 – Gambler’s Ghost (2) sports two flashy bullet works in his return to the races. He comes out of the Hutchesen where he finished behind Kentucky Derby contender Wildcat Red. Mesoma (10) easily broke the track record in his last start at Ellis Park going 6 furlongs. Twang (7) fits in well with this field and could run a big effort.

Race 8 – Scruptdilicous (1) comes in off the claim for trainer Joe Sharp and fits well with this field and Big Blue Talent (1a) just missed over the summer in a competitive $50,000 claiming race at Saratoga. Coin Flip (2) can improve on the drop in class. Madd Exchange (4) comes in first off the claim for Brad Cox and is in good form.

Race 9 – Highball (1) comes in off of a good effort at Kentucky Downs last out and fits in well with this nw2/x level. Xaverian (5) reeled off back to back wins in his last two starts and is well-bred for the turf. Tiz Sardonic Joe (12) will have to overcome the outside draw but is in good form

Race 10 - The final race of the September meet is a competitive group of $7,500 claimers. Geometry (8) ran well shortening up in distance last out and the winner of that race did come back to win. Catchifyoucan (9) can improve off of the drop in class. Rico Rolando (7) could be a player in this field if he runs back to his race 2 starts ago. Mysterious Circle (2) and Paden (10) look to be good plays underneath to round out the Super Hi-5.
