Churchill Downs Handicapper Jill ByrneRace 1 – Illegally Blonde (3) just missed at this
level last out and looks good with these. C P
Hath A Way (1) and Teller Terri (1a) make a
strong entry and either one looks like a top
threat. Excessiveness (4) was an easy winner
off the claim for top connections and a repeat
of that makes her tough today.
JILL’S SELECTIONS – 3-1/1a-4
Race 2 – Proud Image (2) drops in class off a
decent effort in his first try against winners
and gets the edge here. Ruthless Empire (3)
just missed versus tougher and may look to
take this field gate to wire. Gator Camp (5) was
overmatched in his last and can get a share of
this.
JILL’S SELECTIONS – 2-3-5
Race 3 – Teardrop (7) debuts for a top juvenile
barn and looks ready to go today. Scooter’s
Choice (3) is working well for her debut and
has a precocious pedigree. Redgrass Cat (4)
showed speed in her first try and may improve
with that experience.
JILL’S SELECTIONS – 7-3-4
Race 4 – School Mascot (5) drops in class today
off a couple of decent turf tries and can be a
factor in this very well matched group. Nora’s
Song (3) ran well in her debut and can move
forward today off that race. Rate Change (8)
ran well last out and is another taking a step
down the claiming ladder. Her race here last
fall was good enough to fit with this group.
JILL’S SELECTIONS – 5-3-8
Race 5- Bemata (2) was overmatched last out
and will appreciate the class drop and the
shorter distance. Arbiter (1) was a determined
winner last out in a very quick final time. A
repeat of that makes him a strong factor today.
Grey Oak (3) fits well here with a return to his
form in his maiden win.
JILL’S SELECTIONS –2-1-3
Race 6 – Ladies Luv Outlaws (7) put in a poor
effort last out on polytrack but has worked
well since then and gets a slight edge here.
Appeal Image (2) has run well locally and exits
a strong recent effort. Senor Hambone (4) adds
blinkers today and drops in class for a good
stable.

Race 7 – Crazy Lucky (8) exploded in her first
turf try with a nice win and a repeat of that
puts her right in the mix here. North By
Northlite (9) has a good race on the local turf
and should like the turn back in distance here.
R Next Escapade (5) tries turf off of a good
recent try and has the speed to be close early.
JILL’S SELECTIONS – 8-9-5
Race 8 – Ghost Is Clear (7) has been facing
better company and has excellent form on the
main track. Tiban (6) is consistent and does
some of his best running at Churchill. Bug
Juice (10) is on a win roll for a sharp stable
and fits well from just off the pace here.
JILL’S SELECTIONS- 7-6-10
Race 9- Bolting Brown (3) had a rough trip in
his debut and has worked well since. He has a
pedigree to move forward on the turf.
English Pound (10) put in two good turf
efforts this year and is the one to beat today.
Prince Of Spain (1) was too far back off a
slow pace last out and had a wide trip. He
should get a better pace setup today. Raven’s
Honor (8) and Siegfried Line (5) look solid in
the top five.
