Churchill Downs Stakes Advance: Harbor Springs Headlines Opening-Night Roxelana Stakes

Donamire Farm’s homebred Harbor Springs headlines a field of eight entered Tuesday for the 15th running of the $200,000 Roxelana (Listed) presented by LG&E for fillies and mares going six furlongs to highlight Saturday’s 10-race opening-night program for the 43-day Spring Meet.

First post on opening night is 5 p.m. (all times Eastern) for a program that kicks off the meet that runs through June 29 and is highlighted by the 151st running of the $5 million Kentucky Derby (GI) Presented by Woodford Reserve.

Trained by Greg Foley, Harbor Springs closed her 2024 campaign with a 5 ¼-length allowance victory beneath the Twin Spires and opening 2025 with an allowance victory at Fair Grounds. Second in the Beaumont (GII) at Keeneland last spring, Harbor Springs will be reunited with jockey Irad Ortiz Jr. for the Roxelana and exit post 6.
