Join us under the iconic Twin Spires for a day of live racing, thrilling action, and over 15 kid-friendly activities. Lou City fans can meet their favorite players and enjoy an unforgettable experience. It’s the perfect day for families to unite, cheer on our team, and make lasting memories!

Event Details:

• Face Painters: 1:00pm – 4:30pm
• Meet and Greet: Featuring stars from Lou City FC! Don’t miss this unique opportunity to meet your favorite players, get autographs, and enjoy a memorable day with fellow fans. Whether you’re a die-hard supporter or a new enthusiast, come share the excitement and connect with the heroes of the field.
• Churchill Charlie Walk About: 12:00pm – 3:30pm
• Sports Inflatables, inflatable slide and obstacle courses
  • Soccer Activation: Are you ready to bend it like the pros? Come demonstrate your abilities, learn new tricks, and maybe even earn some bragging rights among peers and fellow fans.
• Charlie’s Corner soft play & toddler bounce
• Game Zone featuring Cornhole, Giant Jenga and more
• Arts & Crafts Station

ACCESS: Each Family Adventure Day attendee will need to check into the Family Adventure Day check in tent located by the Paddock Gate.

Partnership with Blessings in a Backpack: This Family Adventure Day, we’ve teamed up with Blessings in a Backpack to make a positive impact in our community. Bring two non-perishable items from the selected list, and you’ll be entered for a chance to win a meet-and-greet with Churchill Downs’ official bugler, Steve Buttleman!

How to Enter:

• Bring 2 non-perishable items from the provided list.
• Drop them off at our collection point during Family Adventure Day.
• Enter for a chance to meet and greet Steve Buttleman

Your generous donation will help provide weekend meals for children in need while giving you the opportunity to connect with one of Churchill Downs’ most iconic figures.

About Blessings in a Backpack: Blessings in a Backpack is a nonprofit organization committed to providing children in need with nutritious meals over the weekend. They work with schools to ensure that children who rely on school meals don’t go hungry when school isn’t in session. With the support of volunteers, donations, and community partnerships, Blessings in a Backpack is making a difference one meal at a time.

Family Adventure Day Child Ticket Policy:

General Admission: Children may attend for free with paying adult (who is at least 18 years old with a valid ID).

Limit 2 children per paying adult. Additional children will require the purchase of a full price general admission ticket.

Reserved Seating: Children under the age of 2 may attend for free, provided the Child must be held or on the lap of an adult; Children ages 2 through 12, or any Child that needs his or her own seat, will require the purchase of a Child’s or full price Ticket.
