General Admission

General admission tickets are a popular choice and put you in the heart of the action at Churchill Downs. This ticket is ideal for guests who want a flexible, budget-friendly way to experience horse racing. They’re perfect for first-time visitors who want to explore the grounds or fans who enjoy moving around and soaking in the lively atmosphere of the crowd.

General admission includes entry to first-floor seating areas (including the clubhouse and grandstand area), sections 111-113, the second-level intertrack wagering (ITW) area, and the food court.

Seating in non-reserved areas is first-come, first-served and gives guests the flexibility to explore different parts of the venue throughout the day. A complimentary race day program is included with each general admission ticket and can be picked up at any program kiosk. General admission tickets can be purchased online or at the clubhouse box office.

 

Dress Code Requirements by Section

 

Each Churchill Downs section has specific dress code requirements. While some areas require more formal attire, others allow for a more relaxed style. Use the table below to determine the appropriate dress code for the section you’re seated in.

Derby Room, Grand Foyer, Jockey Club Suites, Matt Winn’s Steakhouse, Oaks Room, Roses Lounge, SAP Starting Gate Suites, Triple Crown Room & Balcony, Turf Club Boxes, Club SI by Sports Illustrated Smart Casual attire is required. This includes: optional jackets and blazers, sweaters and vests, collared shirts, pantsuits, dresses, dress jeans and shorts, and slacks. T-shirts, cargo shirts, crop tops, swimwear, athletic wear, frayed/torn denim or shorts, and tennis shoes are not permitted.
Directors Room, Finish Line Suites & Balcony, Spires Terrace & Suites, Trophy Room, Turf Club Roses Lounge, Turf Club Terrace & Balcony, Woodford Reserve Paddock Club Business Casual attire is required. This includes: jackets and blazers, vests and sweaters, collared shirts, dresses, pantsuits, capris, and slacks are acceptable forms of attire. Jeans or shorts, t-shirts, crop tops, athletic or swim wear, and flip flops are not permitted.

Reserved Seating
