Churchill Downs News Release: $241,646 Late Pick 5 Carryover Sunday at Churchill Downs

Jun 07, 2025

Bettors have a lucrative $241,646 carryover for Sunday’s 50-cent Late Pick 5 at Churchill Downs because there were no winners in Saturday’s Late Pick 5 sequence.

The first of nine races Sunday is 12:45 p.m. (all times Eastern). The 50-cent Late Pick 5 will cover Races 5-9 starting at 2:45 p.m.

None of Saturday’s Late Pick 5 races were won by favorites: Laugh a Lot ($23.92) in Race 7; Native Runner ($58.04) in Race 8; Math Tudor ($107.98) in Race 9; Joe Shiesty ($8.54) in Race 10; and Daiquiri Sommelier ($13.18) in Race 11.

Sunday’s Late Pick 5 sequence:

Race 5 (2:45 p.m.): $175,000 Leslie’s Lady Overnight Stakes, 3yo f, 7 F (seven entries)
Race 6 (3:18 p.m.): Alw 127000n1x, f&m, 5 ½ F (T) (16 entries, 12 to run)
Race 7 (3:50 p.m.): Clm 80000n2L, 3&up, 6 F (11 entries)
Race 8 (4:22 p.m.): $400,000 Matt Winn (GIII), 3yo, 1 1/16 M (seven entries, four to likely run)
Race 9 (4:55 p.m.): OC 80000n2x, 3&up, 1 3/8 M (T) (14 entries, 12 to run)
Additionally, there were no winners in Saturday’s 20-cent Derby City 6, which triggered a full Jackpot carryover of $675,219 for Sunday on Races 4-9. The Jackpot pool only is paid if there is a single winning ticket. When multiple tickets contain six winners 90 percent of that day’s pool is paid out and 10 percent is added to the Jackpot carryover.

Takeout on the Late Pick 5 and Derby City 6 is just 15% – one of the lowest multi-race wager takeout rates in American racing.
