Churchill Downs Team Members Give Back Through Food Pantry Volunteer Effort

Jul 20, 2026

Churchill Downs team members partnered with Catholic Charities of Louisville to support the Father Jack Jones Food Pantry. They served on Wednesday mornings throughout May and June to help fight food insecurity in our community.

Each week, volunteers rolled up their sleeves and assisted with a variety of essential tasks that help the pantry serve local families and individuals in need. From unloading deliveries and organizing inventory to setting up for distribution, assisting clients, and cleaning up, our team was proud to contribute.

The Father Jack Jones Food Pantry plays a vital role in providing nutritious food and resources to members of the South Louisville community, and it was inspiring for our volunteers to see firsthand the impact of these services. Through their time and effort, Churchill Downs team members helped support an operation that serves hundreds of families while fostering meaningful connections with fellow volunteers and community members.

Volunteerism is an important part of Churchill Downs' commitment to strengthening the communities where we live and work. Opportunities like this allow our team members to make a tangible difference while supporting organizations that are creating positive change across Louisville.
